How to Actually Drift in Neon Circuit Dash

April 5, 2026 · Marko Lindqvist

Neon Circuit Dash lives or dies on its drifting, and most people, myself included, spend the first hour spinning out into walls. The trick is that drifting here is about release timing, not how early you start the slide.

Start your drift a touch later than feels natural, hold it through the apex, and release as the track straightens. The car snaps into a speed boost when you get it right, and you'll feel it immediately.

On the folding tracks later in the game, drifts chain together — one slide feeds into the next. Learning to link them is where the real lap times come from, and it's genuinely thrilling once it clicks.

Turn off tilt controls if you're struggling. I switched to tap steering and my consistency went way up, even if it looks less flashy.
