Strategy
Tidewatch Command
★★★★☆ 4.3
Tidewatch Command puts you in charge of a string of coastal outposts, and the whole game is a balancing act between building up and holding the line. You never have quite enough resources, which forces real decisions about where to invest.
The pace is slower and more deliberate than most mobile strategy fare. Battles play out as you set up defenses and counter incoming waves, and bad planning three turns ago will quietly ruin you. We liked that the game trusts you to learn from your losses.
The interface took a session to click, but once it did, planning a defense became genuinely satisfying. It rewards patience and punishes autopilot.
What we liked
- Resource pressure creates real choices
- Deliberate, thoughtful pacing
- Losses teach you something
